Hard to believe, but yes we did win a small amount of money for our efforts in Quebec during La Grande Descente 2010. I knew we did fairly well that day but paying us to do something we really enjoy doing, does seem a little odd.
We did receive a $70.00 cheque simply for paddling from point A to point B. I think we could probably get use to that. It paid for our gas and meals for the day which is a first for us. Mike and I thought that only the Pro Boats were in line to receive compensation for their efforts. But there you have it. Can't wait until next year's race. Hope to see you there.
